    We have to do whatever our historic review board tells us to with the exterior, they weren't on the approved materials list. I know it doesn't make sense ... they also don't let homes install impact glass (hurricane) windows if they have wood windows, they have to replace with new wood windows and buy hurricane shutters (we're in Key West). The historic board is more worried about easthetics than practicality sometimes unfortunately.
