I use a pot of cold water. Add the eggs then bring to a rolling boil.?turn them off and wait 10 minutes. Run cold water in the pot to cool the eggs down. while warm but not hot, tap the eggs against the pan to crack them and start peeling them. The shells should come off easily. Hope this helps..

Thanks so much,Marilyn! My mistake is refrigerating them right after they cool down a bit!! Will they last as long when PEELED and then refrigerated????

For me, I add a tablespoon of white vinegar to the water when boiling. When done, place eggs in cold water to cool off. Then I crack and peel rinsing with cool water as I peel. Works for me. Best of luck.

This works for me 90% of the time: Place the eggs in a pot and run cold water over the eggs until the eggs are barely covered. Add salt if you want to, but you don't have to. Heat the eggs at medium high until they reach a rolling boil. Turn the water down to medium low and put the lid on. Time for 3, 5, or 12 minutes (for deviled eggs). Immediately plunge the eggs into really cold ice water. As soon as you can handle the hot eggs, start peeling them under the running faucet or in the ice water. The shells should just slide off because the inner egg should have pulled away from the hot shells when they hit the ice water.

    Best wishes 😇

I always peel while they're as hot as my hands can stand.

Eggs that are very fresh will be harder to peel when hard boiled. If you have two sets of eggs in your fridge, then hard boil the ones that are least fresh.
