It could be lack of sun, the wrong kind of fertilizer, the lack of good soil or pruning too hard. You have to figure out if your hydrangea blooms on new or old wood. - if they bloom on old wood and you pruned off the old wood they won't bloom successfully. This article might help! Don’t cut the canes when winter comes Or at all. The new growth that brings flowers comes from the old dead looking canes in the spring.😏
