Can I paint my wood blinds white?

Just bought a Lake Home that has light oak trim throught the house. It has a natural oak ceiling, beam and staircase. We are having trim painted white(soft Wool) to really brighten it.
The problem is, that the wood blinds throughout the house are also light oak color. Can I paint them white instead of having to replace them?
or , any suggestions?

i would try one first using a chalk paint and polycrylic sealer...then see if you want to do the rest...it can be done, but it will be a tedious chore
Wash them first. Dry good. Wait a few days to make sure they are good and dry. Spray paint with quality spray enamel. I would not do chalk paint as it will attract dust.
