Jxb22, Hello and Yes :) Vinyl doors CAN be painted, but the very first step, for any sort of painting, is to clean off the curface so it is free of any sort of grease, dirt, oil, and give it a LIGHT sanding and wiping down so there is something for the paint to grab on to and stick. The sanding isn't an absolute necessity but unless you love to redecorate every year or so do you really want to do the job all over again in a year or two because of peeling? Probably not, eh? Okay, so light sanding is best. Then follow the steps in the following link and enjoy your "new" cabinets :) Thanks for using HOMETALK

are you talking about interior or exterior doors? I have painted interior vinyl doors with one of the spray paints from Rustoleum
