Layed peel & stick tiles in bath rm & they r coming up.now???

What is under them? What was on the floor before you stuck the tiles on? What did you do to the surface to prepare it for the stick-on tiles?

They are coming up from the moisture in the bathroom. If you have leftover tiles, pull the old ones up and replace them. Start by cleaning the square area that the tiles were in, so when you replace it, the tiles will be level with the rest. Not knowing where you live in the U.S., keep your bathroom window if you have one, opened at the top, just a crack. If you have an exhaust fan, use that also. Leave the door open just a crack to let the steam out. Use any or all methods to eliminate moisture. When you change the bathroom tiles, and put all new ones down, get water proof tiles. Their a bit more money a tile, but this problem will most likely happen again if you don't let the steam out some way.

There is a lot of steam and therefore moisture in a bathroom. I would think about changing to a product intended for a bathroom.

The Peel and Stick tiles always do, because the glue isn't strong enough. Lift and re-glue...............

O.K. that narrows it down a bit to know that only some of the tiles are coming up.

1. How level was the plywood in the areas that the tiles are coming up?

Put a level over the areas where the tiles are coming up, and where the tiles seem to be holding to compare how level the areas in the floor are.

2. After you peeled and stuck the tiles on, what sort of weight did you put to cover the tiles until the glue on the backing was completely dry?
