maybe this site can help. Have never tried any. I have 2 cats, they take care of most critters for me. with this in mind, please know, , spiders are NOT attracted to light, they ARE attracted to the bugs that do love light - meaning, lit porch lights, night lights, and light colored siding, paint, etc...

I went to the site and those are good ideas. Sticky traps go a long way in taking care of them. Just be sure your pets and children can't get to them.

Go to the nearest HyVee and ask for hedgeapples. They're baseball shaped, green, and bumpy. Buy a couple for each room and set behind furniture. Safe for pets and children

Remove all vegetation that harbors food for the spiders around the entrances of your home. Remember that 99% of spiders do not hurt humans; they are present because there is a food source. Use peppermint oil sprayed or dabbed about the doors, windows, steps, etc.

    1. Vacuum your home from top to bottom.
    2. Limit outdoor lighting and remove non-essentials from home perimeter.
    3. Place sticky traps indoors to identify problem areas.
    4. Administer non-toxic pesticide to problem areas discovered.
    5. Apply spider repellent.
    6. Seal openings in building envelope.
