use some double sided tape And you can remove the cap on the spring side and put a short dowel in behind the spring to creat mor pressure

You may need two people for this. Put the pole up as tight as you can so that the ends have a secure hold on the tiles. Get it as tight as you can. Have someone put a thick zip tie on at the end of the large part of the pole where it goes into the other part of the pole. See if this holds it in place. The zip tie needs to be as tight as you can get it without breaking it. Another way would be to put silicone on each end. The silicone should hold it and will stand up to the humidity. You can also peal it off the tiles easily if you want to take it down or move it to another spot.

Why wouldn't you want to drill into the tile and secure the shower rod so that it is permanently in place.. If you have the drill all you need is an inexpensive tile drill bit that you can get at any local hardware store or at Home Depot/Lowe's.

Buy the stick on hooks, put the shower rod in place and mark under the cups on the rod. Take the rod down. According to directions adhere the hooks to the wall (put the top of the hook at the mark)and be sure to let them cure. The rod will not slip now and you have a bonus 2 hooks.

Get a tension rod to go from one wall to the other. No need to drill.

There is not enough tension in he rod - which we paid a lot for to stand. Can you change the spring.

Find some rope type caulking....style a cup for the tension rod.my bath walls have a bit of wave in them.

you can use rope caulking. Get it nice and warned up slightly sticky. Put the pole in position and wrap the caulk on the wall arround the pole then a bit over the rod.
