This would be for devices such as electric: drills; circular saws; chain saws; hedge clippers; weed eaters; pole saws, etc,etc....

I would get the heaviest outdoor extension cords you can find. For stuff like that, you need the real thick ones because it needs more wattage than the standard in house extension cords. Make sure you get as long as you would need to reach the corners or your yard from your plug in. Do not leave them outside, even if they are unplugged. We have everything from one hundred foot to twenty five foot for different needs and lengths. Try not to put too many together, that is why you try to get the length you will need in one cord if possible.

the longer the distance, the thicker the cord you want. it is a fire hazard to use a small cord and it is hard on the motor you are using.it can burn the motor out -look at the cord rating-ie the numbers-2/18 means 2 wires 18 gauge but you want grounded cords which will be 3/(xx)- 3 wires/ whatever gauge. the higher the number the smaller the gauge so you want a smaller number for longer distances
