Can you mix flat latex paint with semi- gloss paint?

Will mixing one color of flat with another color in semi-gloss make a product that will stick to the wall or peel off?

If they are the same medium (both oil, both latex), no problem. You'll end up with an egg shell sheen. Please make a test mix before you go "all in", just to make sure you like the look.
What are you trying to achieve by mixing the two? If you want to flatten the shine on the semi-gloss paint add 1/2c plaster of paris with 1/2 c warm water, and add to your semi-gloss paint for a chalk paint.
As long as your walls are properly prepped for painting there shouldn't be a problem. I've mixed left over paints of the same color and have not had a problem to date. Best of luck.
No problem at all. Just like Bijous_2010 states. As long as they are both latex or both oil. I mix my own custom colors for my projects. A lot of paint I probably wouldn't use individually but hate to get rid of it.
I've heard it's not smart to try this with oil based paints. I'm doing it with water based paint of same color and was told to do a 2:1 ratio, semi to flat to get eggshell/satin range sheen
