Fall, transplant early. Spring, keep moist.
Hi Gay, When it comes to pruning, I use the old farmer's method: from Spring thru Fall only prune during months that have a "R" in their name. For example, you can prune in April but not in May. April has a R and May does not. I have used this method for many years and it has worked well for me plus it's easy to remember. That being said, since it's OctobeR, go ahead and prune. I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to transplant them. Don't prune and transplant at the same time. It's too much stress for them. If I were you, I would prune anytime now and wait til Spring to transplant. I hope this helps you. Good luck.
See if this helps!
