Can old plastic adirondack chairs be painted?

The finish on the chairs is pretty much gone. We were hoping we could restore the chairs vs having to throw them out. Anyone have success doing this? Thanks.

I used the spray but had to go through too much. When I ran out I bought a can of the Rustoleum 2x liquid paint it worked fab!. Went on well and b only needed 1 coat.

I would sand them down, use a good Varnish with Primer on them, and then seal them with a good Spar Varnish Sealer. They would then have a nice wood look and would last for years to come.

Absolutely you can paint them. Home Depot or Lowes sell spray paint for plastic. I would clean the chairs as best you can before painting. You will most likely Ed at least two coats. It holds up really well.

There is a line of spray paint just for plastics. Works great on kids plastic outdoor toys too. I am thinking it is made by Krylon? Check the paint depts in home stores.

You can spray paint them with Restoleum paint that covers plastic as well as wood and metal.
