Growing sweet potato vine

I planted sweet potato vine in a garden planter and when I was cleaning it out in the fall I dug up tubers that had grown over the summer. Can I root these tubers inside over winter and plant new vine in the spring. How to root them?
you can try ,dry them out and store in a dry location
Yes; right now I have mine in the fridge to wait until spring to plant.

I always take cuttings in the fall, root and plant them and then have new plants in the spring.
Let the sweet potato grow it's own vines from the tuber. Break them off close to the potato then root them in water.
