Hey Loves! I'm super excited to finally reveal my new series on my channel called House II Home where I will be making over my 1 bedroom apartment room by room. Today I start this series off with my kitchen using the amazing removeable decals from Pixers! They have hundreds of designs, they are high quality and excellent customer service! See how I transform this Tribal Boho Kitchen for under $100! Check out the full video on my channel!
I've been living at my apartment for 5 years now and it was definitely looking dated and dingy! I knew I wanted to make this kitchen look super boho chic but had to make sure everything was removeable or approved with my landlord.
The first thing that had to be done was to paint. Even though I was only painting the walls white, it gave it a complete newer look. The kitchen can collect a lot of cooking and stains so it's good to give it a new coat every so often.
I worked with the wonderful Pixers company who makes all different types of removeable decals for your walls, counter tops, tables, doors and refrigerator. I wanted a minimalist boho look so I chose these removeable cement looking decals that looked so real! It was easier for me to cut them into strips and then apply to have less air bubbles.
When you get to the end, cut off the access and then fold under your counter and you can also secure with a staple gun.
Now for the backsplash. Since I already had a lot of natural elements of wood cabinets and the cement counter tops, I choose this really cool tribal, geometric removeable wall paper that was a major focal point and statement piece.
I created this beautiful and affordable basket wall art from items I found at my local thrift store. With a little black spray paint, I spray half of some of the baskets. I secured them to the wall with tiny nails so there wasn't any major damage.
I also upcycled more items I found at the thrift store by cleaning them or using some spray paint.
I added faux plants on top of the top cabinets to bring in a little nature. My kitchen doesn't have any windows so having faux plants was best so there was no maintenance involved.
I found this gorgeous hand made rug at my local Ollie's for $5.99 to go in front of my sink.
Voila!! I was so amazed how everything turned out. Thanks again to Pixers and their amazing products for transforming my kitchen. Looks great, I would like to give it a try. I went to the Pixers site and do not see any counter decals. Which type did you use?

Looks a lot better, but realistically, how long is press on paper going to last on a countertop?
