How about giving it a new bottom and a coat of fresh paint? It could be used to store towels or maybe blankets - depending on the size and what fits.

Wash with a mild soap, spray with hose, dry completely in the sun.

Spray with any color paint, that's high-gloss. and keep for a catch-all. Mail, magazines, etc

I would fix it by putting in a bottom on it. Spray paint to a color you would like and put it on your front porch or near your front side, etc. I would decorate it for the seasons. you could even decorate it for holidays as well and in the summer put some trailing or hanging flowers in it. I just remembered I have something like this in my garage. I think I'll go find it and get it ready for Halloween. Then for Christmas. We already had put Thanksguving, but I already have ideas for next years.

I would do what already suggested about cleaning/painting, etc....then placed indoors/outdoors, depending your weather, for catching gloves, scarfs, house shoes, hats....

That’s a wicker plant stand used in he south in a kitchen or porch. Depending how you plan to use it, I would spray paint it and add flowers for each season🍁🎃🌲. Here’s a couple photos

Clean, paint, use in bathroom to store blow dryer, curling iron and other/ or other items you use. This piece could be decorated so cute! If you just need a show piece for your bathroom, Roll towels up and tie them with ribbon, rope or burlap and stand them in one end, place a plant in the middle and lay a matching towel on the other end.

I would fix the bottom with plywood or MDF, paint it a pretty color, and line it with heavy duty plastic. Then plant a fairy garden.

Cute basket! I'd redo the bottom and maybe paint stripes using painters tape. I'd keep it in the bathroom for towel or toilet paper

Paint it a complimentary color for the bathroom and use it to store items in it such as towels, to rolls, etc. It would also look amazing if you fill it up with seasonal flowers to brighten up an area of the house.

Clean then paint white or whatever color you wish. Since it doesn't appear to have much of a bottom, you could get some complimentary fabric & make a liner for it like is often done for other wicker or woven baskets. Lap the fabric edges over the tops of your piece poly fill lightly for a bolstered top or, just simply glue or hand stitch basket liner in place on inside just below top wicker wrapping. With same fabric you could make a tie-on bottom shelf like for slippers.

Hope this gives you some ideas.

This wonderful wicker piece is one of the older styles of wicker that they don't make any more...I have the same pattern in a rocking chair, side table and a coffee table I use on my screened porch, love them all...I have spray painted them all white with Rustoleum white paint and they all look great....all suggestions for this very good find are great, but I would definitely use this as a planter for either artificial arrangements if you keep it indoors, or real plants...this is a gem...
