My exterminator told me that they are next to impossible to get rid of without chemicals. I haven't had one since I had the exterminator come out and spray. Didn't have any ants or spiders, either. It was definitely worth it.
Here is some additional information. The key is sealing holes in your home as they are looking for a place to winter. http://msue.anr.msu.edu/news/new_tip_sheet_on_brown_marmorated_stink_bugs_for_homeowners and http://msue.anr.msu.edu/news/managing_brown_marmorated_stink_bugs_in_homes
Do not waste money on an exterminator (they are pretty impervious). Once the weather starts to cool off they will gather under porch mats in large numbers. While they are impossible to get completely rid of I spent one fall using a small ($40) wet/dry vac that I filled with soapy water. Then in the morning I would vaccuum them up and leave it sit for a day or two and empty it outside and fill again. At the end of the fall - I had to throw away the vac it smelled so bad but I killed them by the thousands and the next year we had many fewer. This really works if you have an older home that sealing it just isn't going to happen.
