How do you keep paper clutter visible but not messy in your kitchen?

I don't like to have magnets and paper on the fridge or lying on the counters but where do you put it so it's handy and visible but just not so darn messy?????

In the kitchen draw or a mail basket on the counter
go to office depot and get a file holder like they have on drs. doors where they put your file while waiting to be seen.
I have a bulleetin board. Most of my papers are kept in my office though.
