Shoe polish (wax -or- bottle)

beautiful older painted nesting tables (#2). Chips of paint in visible places. No sanding, carpentry skills. No skills! Wondering if mans shoe polish (wax). Can be used to fill-in chips.......or shoe polish in bottle. Any help appreciated for a person with 0% talent.

    There are crayon like wax sticks you can purchase almost every where that will work and are made for repairing wood furniture boo-boos. Anyone can use crayons, so you should have no problem with them! You can do it!

    If the color of the shoe polish and the tables are similar that would make the chips less noticeable. Give it a try.

    Old English polish works well on darker woods. It stains hands and clothes etc. so be careful.

    If the table is painted and you like the color and want to keep it, then buy fine sand paper and "rough" it up a bit; wipe clean with damp cheesecloth, dry and coat with mod podge which dries clear and seals the surface.
