Hello Elner ;) With so much talk about tiny houses nowadays, and cities limiting the building of them inside city limits, the next best thing are what we used to call "Studio" Apartments. Efficiency is certainly the key word needed for them, however :) Below I have posted a few links that I hope will give you some ideas about designing yours to fit your personal living space needs and habits. And in the following link #s 6, 7, and 8 can almost be used together by separating your raised from from the rest of the room using shelving lined with mirrors facing the living area to make it look larger ... just a thought ;)

I am posting below some ideas from tiny homes, too, but instead of a loft for a bed (unless you wnat to build one inside your efficeiency space) you could divide the floor space of your efficiency to make room for a bed OR just have a sofa bed, perhaps ;)
