We had zillions of rabbits when our house was first built, but hardly ever have a one anymore. We used a rabbit repellent spray from Walmart, I don't remember the name. But the couple in this video seem to have a thriving garden, so maybe it will help you.
If you're talking vegetable plants, a wire cage of chicken wire should work, or a chicken wire fence around the whole planting area. If it's flowers and such, and you didn't want to fence it in, there are many plants that rabbits are not particularly fond of that can be planted. I use cayenne pepper powder and shredded Irish spring soap. If that doesn't work, I bait a mouse trap with peanut butter, as many as you want to put out, put them in the areas most visited. The snap may frighten the away for a while. I had luck with this in large planters and my vegetable garden with rabbits, squirrels and chipmunks. I don't have to worry about moles or voles, etc., as our white chow gets them at night when she is outside(doggy door) and leaves them on the patio for us to dispose of after we get up. She takes her night time security duty seriously when their are critters in "her" yard!
Years ago, we used blood meal. It isn't very practical if your garden is very big. But it is also a good fertilizer even if it doesn't deter the rabbits.
