Elegantly Eerie Halloween Tablescape

Since both of my children are grown, it has been a long time since I have gone all out for Halloween! This year I decided the adults need to get in on the Halloween fun, so I decided to set a Halloween table that was elegant and eerie at the same time!
My inspiration came from a bunch of dead roses that had dried up and were awaiting the compost bin. I kept costs low by shopping at Homesense, the dollar store, the thrift store , shopping my own home and borrowing a few pieces from a friend.
Sophisticated skeletons adorn salad plates set on top of my regular dinner plates. Gray linen napkins I already had keep with the dark and mysterious vibe.
A centerpiece made from weeds spray painted black and a few dried hydrangea blossoms sit atop a dollar store black net table runner. Tarnished silver candle sticks fitted with dripping gray candles add an eerie glow.
Some dark purple grapes, figs and blue cheese sit under the watchful eye of a cast iron crow.
A tiny bottle of "poison" sits beside a pear, making guests wonder whether it is safe to take a bite!! I had such fun putting this table together and look forward to hosting a couple of friends for a devilishly delicious dinner come Halloween!
