If they do not need heavy cleaning, I use Old English furniture polish. It cleans and restores needed oils to the wood at the same time. I do this twice a year. I also use it on all our wooden furniture. It comes in dark or light for any type of wood. It also covers light scratches.

Murphy Oil Soap. Made for wood and leaves a soft shine, not oily.
