I reclaimed some cabinet doors from my neighbors kithen remodel and made a super cool coffee table
My neighbor remodeled her kitchen and I salvaged some of the old cabinet doors.
I arranged them in a basic open box format. Using the more narrow doors for my table base. The wide doors I used for the table top.
Everything fastened together with "L" brackets and wood screws.
I left the sofa side of the base open for storage.
Finally painted it with a beachy weathered touch. Its perfect with the recessed panel doors as a table top because spills dont run on onto the floor. Super sturdy solid wood. Another Patrick Burke reclaimed wood project.
Suggested materials:
  • Reclaimed cabinet doors   (Neighbors refuse)
  • L brackets and wood screws   (Dollar Tree)
  • Antique paint   (Depot)

I think this was a great idea. I do agree with two others about closing it in and keeping pets out, however if you have a cat or a small dog you could put their bed in their and it would be out of the way.
