What would be a good replacement for shade and fast growth? I live in the Sierra foothills.

There are fast growing hybrid trees like Hybrid Poplar trees that grow around 8 ft a year.
Red oak, Red Maple, Sycamore, Weeping Willow, & Bean trees also grow fairly quickly.
