    I like to use acrylic its easy to use, dries fast and easy cleanup. I also give it a light coat of clear coat varnish to withstand the weather changes.

    I think you could use any of those paints, plus latex, glow in the dark, glitter, or metallic. Just seal the colors with spray sealer, except the glow in the dark can only take a light seal before its ability to absorb sunlight is affected. After a couple of years outside, repaint the rocks as needed. Best wishes 😇💖

    Acrylic or oil should work as long as you seal it after painting, probably a couple of coats since they will be outside.
