jar in the sink with water & detergent . I put my used silverware in the jar until I'm ready to hand wash them. I now have a round stain in the sink from the jar. I have tried cleaning the stain with cleanser or bleach but can't remove it. What can I do ???

Try a magic eraser, they work on lots of odd stuff.
I don't,t have an answer but I have used plastic jar container rather than glass. No problem. I cut the top several inches off a milk jug or bleach btl.
Try the old baking soda, and dawn detergent. Make a paste , rub on the stain, rinse away .what ever paste is left , use it to clean anything. Tub , sink, Windows rims ...... ! Good luck š
