When all the blooms are dead, they can be cut with other weeds and wildflowers. But allow time for the seeds to fall out if you live in the south or southwest. If you have to plant them, save the flowers, remove the petals, let the centers dry out, and save the seeds to plant next year. (In most of Texas, a good time to sow wildflower seeds is after the first frost and before the first freeze.)
The thing about wildflowers is, there's always a new one for the next season. You can be scientific and plant the seeds recommended for your part of the country. Or you can buy a package of mixed wildflowers and see what happens. They do well in a flowerbed or in a "natural" garden which is not weeded.
