If you want to clean it out so you can use up the last smidge of lip color just scrape out as much as you can and toss the container (treat yourself and buy another lipstick 💄!).
If you want to repurpose the empty tube/container run hot water in it until it's cleaned out to your satisfaction.
how about a pipe cleaner or coffee stirrer?
You can try placing the lipstick upside down in small jar. It may take a while, but gravity should win over. Then you can retrieve the lipstick out of the small jar. As long as you have a lid for the jar, you should be able to use it for a while.
Find something that is a little more flexible, like the coffee stirrers that have the little rectangular piece on the bottom.
I use a lipstick brush.
Use a fine paintbrush, with long handle, this way you can move the brush all over the tube getting all lipstick out.
I've had that issue before as well- I've used a (very lightly damp) q-tip and even a toothpick, dug out as much as possible, and transferred to the lid. A word of caution though, your spouse/partner/significant other will undoubtedly shake his head, laugh and mutter under the breath about "women"..... Hope it helps!! :)
