If the rug is washable, make a mixture of Oxsee clean and detergent and soak it for several hours. They should get the stain out.
Sorry. That's Oxyclean. Also, I meant to say soak it in cold water.
Why can't you wash it?
Mix Oxy Clean in a spray bottle with warm water, shake to dissolve and spray on, blot up with a dry towel/rag. Pulls stain right out and does not leave residue behind.
