Will a regular whole saw blade cut through Corian without cracking etc?

Yes a hole saw will cut into Corian. Corian is a high density polymer resin composite material. It will be slow going. Let the hole saw do the job. Don't apply too much pressure or you can burn and dull the blade. Wear a dust mask and eye protection.
