I got rid of mine by digging down to the root ball. Some of them were as big as a man's foot and couldn't be dug out. I soaked them all with household bleach and put the soil back. They never reappeared. One side of my house was completely covered and had probably been there for years. They left little tentacles in my brick wall that even power washing didn't get rid of. Nasty stuff that finally disappeared after a few years.

1. Dig it all out by the root. 2. Hire someone to do for you. Or 3. My favorite, cut back to ground level and repeatedly drown in straight vinegar.

This is just the thing! I find this works wonderfully. You have to cut down the ivy and then brush this on the top of where you cut it. Bonide
