Wet sponge sanding joint compound

Does it give you a good finish, and no dust cleanup. what kind of sponge is used?

    Hello. I would use a large thick sponge. Like the ones you use for wiping grout off of tile.

    the 'refill' sponge mops, with the rigid plastic on the back? work great.

    the big fluffy ones for washing cars, or getting the grout haze off tiles? is my second choice.

    if I'm rebuilding something weird, or working on a big area, I have also used green scrubby pads with the yellow cellulose sponge.


    I'm pretty good with a spackle knife, so I don't need to do a lot of finish, but 'sanding' with a damp sponge is by far the best way I've found.
