This is a somewhat simple project that I have been wanting to try for quite some time but didn't have the time or all of the supplies to do exactly what I wanted to make. The other day I was scrolling through Amazon.com, looking for something totally unrelated and came across a great deal for loofah. I couldn't help myself! I had to add to the basket. It was coming from Timbuktu or someplace equally as obscure, so I forgot about it until it FINALLY came in mail. Then I got down to business.
I used a silicone muffin pan and a sharpie to mark off how much of the loofah to cut off and then measured the amount. I used a ruler and the sharpie to mark off where to cut along the length of the loofah.
This is me measuring it.
I used a bread knife to cut along the markings.
Next I placed a slice of loofah in each of the muffin pan spaces.
Then I chopped up approximately one pound of goat's milk soap into small pieces and proceeded to melt it down in the microwave. 30 seconds to start, stir, then 15 seconds and stir, 15 seconds, repeat until melted.
After it was all melted, I added some yellow soap dye and lemon essential oil, about 20 drops of oil. You only need about 10 drops of dye. Stir well.
I use a large glass measuring cup with a pour spout simply because it makes it so much easier to pour into the soap molds.
Let them cool for several hours and they just pop right out! That's the beauty of the silicone mold! Here you wonderful moisturizing soap and a great exfoliating loofah all in one. Great for bathing or scrubbing the gunk off your hands from gardening or painting or whatever! Happy crafting 🤗

Your photo shows a 6 muffin pan but your supply list shows a 12 muffin pan. Does the 12 pan have smaller muffin sizes or are they both the same? Thanks.

( soooo excited to try this great idea❣️)
