Up to you, but I would opt for a pop of color...teal, yellow, purple...then you have the option of pulling the pop color into other elements in your bathroom if you so choose.

What color are the walls? Try black for a modern/industrial accent. Color is modern but can give a boost of energy to the space. Or go with a blue for a more peaceful tone. When I need to make a color choice I get those cards from the paint store in every shade I like and tack each one up to see which one I like best.

I would definitely go with the color that you plan to use for accessories in the bathroom. The grey and white looks really nice, but an accent color would make it look more put together. You could go with a grey that blends with one of the greys in the flooring and use the accent color starting on the shelf with something larger like a vase or towels and then introduce the smaller things like the soap and toothbrush holder, etc.

  • If not a bold color then maybe black or metallic

My personal one would be barn red not the bright red but a subduded one. One that is a country more maroonish one. Have fun.
