Finishing off the top of a concrete block wall.

I have a split entry house and want to redo the tops of the concrete block walls where it transitions to a stud wall. It makes a nice shelf along the exterior walls. But some are fairly long so finding a nice solid oak, for instance, board that long might be difficult.

  • Head to a real lumberyard, they will have more "furniture" grade lumber and more to choose from than you can imagine!

I personally in my last home had this problem and my handy man stained a board to match my end tables and he used cutting machines and it fit perfectly in place and he made a template of the wall line to get that perfect fit and here I was so dead set against it until the end results and I loved it. Try checking your local Home Depot or Lowe’s lumber section they know all the sub contractors being they shop there if you need to hire someone or the derive desk works closely with them that’s where they pay and pick up there freight 💡
