Moss always grows north side. It's nature's way.
It grows there as it stays moist. To remove use 50/50 water and bleach. To prevent, apply zinc or copper strips above the line of growth. Google to find places to purchase.
It grows there, because you don't get the sun. Moss thrives in moist areas. How to get rid of it? You can't prevent it.
