scrap off the remaining wax and use TSP (find at home improvement stores) to clean the wall if that doesn't work, you could use KILZ to cover the stain and repaint
cover with a paper towel had heat with an iron. That will take the wax off but not sure about the color.
Remove any remaining wax. Use a warm iron and brown bag or wrapping paper. Place the paper over the stain and go over with the iron. The paper will pick up the remaining wax. Move the paper around
