I used to place a low dish with Pine Sol and a little water on floor. Put a goose neck lamp to shine on the dish over night. The next morning a dish full of dead fleas and the room smells great. May have to do this several times if many fleas.

The cats brought fleas in, they were treated with advantage. Sprayed the carpets several time with pyrethrins. Purchased flea traps. Sprayed outside. Nothing seems to eliminate them.

Try the Pine Sol trick! A lot of Hometalkers swear by it! Good luck :)

Treat your pets first. Be prepared to vacuum every day. You could bomb the house but I could not do that because we have an aquarium. Also you have to leave the house for a couple hours. I have 3 indoor cats and 2 dogs so bombing is not an option.

I frontlined the pets. I bought a couple types of flea spray both for people and pets and for interior use.

I liberally sprayed a paper towel and vacuumed it up. Then I vacuumed every room, every day for about 10 days repeating the paper towel . I also sprayed the interior spray in each room.

Everyone said I'd have to hire an exterminator but I was determined and it worked.
