Oak everywhere! If I stain cabinets, do I have to stain baseboards too?

We have oak everywhere; cabinets, baseboards, trim, crown molding! I would love to stain the bathroom cabinets, but what about all the rest? Do I have to do ALL of it? Where does it stop? Not looking to replace or stain it everywhere!

I feel your pain. I don't like oak cabinets either. I think for the most part, they look cheap and ordinary. I would not stain everything all one color. But make sure that the new goes with the old. If you have honey oak, you would not want to do a blue based stain, etc.

If your kitchen is the only place, it could work. Kitchen cabinets often stand on their own.

No - there are no rules about everything matching, especially now it is better to add some character to your home by having different textures and colors.
