I have a metal roof that I think is ugly. What's the difference between plain roof paint and the fiberized roof coating that is thick? Thanks in advance!!

The thicker paint will last longer and reflect the heat better.

Fiberized roof coating is used instead of old-time tar on the roof. It's thick, has fibers embedded in the paint and comes in black or white. The paint is a bit thinner and is designed to expand and contract with the movement of the roof.

This complex question should be answered by someone in the paint department in Homedepot or Lowe's. Call them or stop in, the'll be glad to help you.

The thicker paint has fibers in it that protects the roof and helps with heat and air conditioning it is a sealer of sorts. Regular roof paint has none of that in it. Better stick with the thicker fiber roofing sealer.

I agree, thicker is the way to go ;)
