We literally used to put Sevin dust in our fenced back yard to keep them off our pets and from bringing them in the house. Tea tree oil, you can purchase it in a health food store. Make sure it's 100% grade A , tea tree oil from Australia, it's about $12 for a small bottle. Mix that with water, and make a spray for the fleas. Spray wherever they are, this won't hurt plants. Mix 1. Tablespoon to a quart of warm water. Good Luck!

I spray the perimeter of my property and base of my house with vinegar once a month. Beds are mulched or graveled and lawn in decent shape.
