Take a trip to home depot and ask which window calk they recommend. You will also need an application tool.

there are 2 types of silicon caulk....pure silicone or a hybrid siliconized version. There is also traditional caulking material. Silicone works great in really wet areas And where temps fluctuate greatly. It tends to keep its flexible property and not dry out as quickly as the standard caulks. You have to apply it on a day that the window and wood are completely dry....it won’t stick to wet areas.

ps apply the caulk makes a. 45 degrees angle from frame to window pane....this will shed water and keep the window intact longer.

The best silicone sealant I would recommend is DAP. Make sure you get the kind you can paint over. All hardware stores carry it.
