If it is not bad dump 1/2 a box of baking soda down the drain, then use a lot of vinager to boil out the clog.

unfortunately, you are going to need a plumber snake. But I have a hint how to never get a clogged sink again, X husband was a plumber. Every few days, fill your sink with water. Hot water works best but not necessary. pull the plug and let it drain. That simple. I 'sink flush' every few days.

Try using 1/4 to 1/2 cup baking soda down the drain, follow with about a cup of vinegar. Let it sit and bubble until you don't hear it fizzing anymore. Put about a gallon of boiling water down the drain. May take more that once. Give up if this doesn't work and call a pro, the clog may be way too far down the pipe for a lay person to get to. Been there done that, it was almost to where the inside pipes connect to the outside sewer pipe. I know do the baking soda, vinegar, boiling water at least once a month if not more frequently to keep the pipes clean.

Whats worked for me is boiling water--> baking soda --> vinegar---> boiling water. Depending on the clog, sometimes I need to do this a few times- good luck !
