There is a powdery like mildew on my peony bushes.

It looks like they are dying. What can I do to save them. They were gorgeous last Spring now they have powdery white leaves. Help!

Spray the bush with just a few drops of dish soap and water. You have a bug fungus. Hope this works for ya. 🙏🏻 Kk
Had the same problem. Chamomile tea was my answer. Got this from a Gerry Baker recipe. 4 Chamomile tea bags, 2 Tablespoons of Murphy's Oil Soap and a Qt. of boiling water. Put tea bags in a pot. Pour quart of boiling water and let steep an hour or so the cool. Mix in soap and pour into a six gallon hose end sprayer. Drench your plant It was mentioned to try and do early in the day. The other thing I did is to remove all the infested leaves and discard (not good for the compost). Mine occurred after blooming and was greatly infected so I also cut down the Peony and discarded the stems and part of the soil. Then topped with good soil. Good luck. Where I live it’s about time to cut them to the ground anyway so that’s how I would solve the problem. When you cut them don’t let them hit the ground and rake up any debris already on the ground. Contain it all for whatever disposal method is available to you.
"Safers" has a product designed for this type or mildew/fungus, it is gardeners soap. It is environmentally safe and works well. Trim or cut back any of the damaged leaves.
