Do you mean dieing cause its water logged? I would move to an area where is doesn't get hit by all the rain, or dig up and put some drainage material in the soil like some sand and dirt mix and replant or pot so you can move around. I have mine on back step where roof overhang prevents full rain drowning plants.

You are probably right about too much water. Dig it up getting all the roots and put in a pot with fresh potting soil and see if it will come back.
