my inlaws had one that was completely made from styrofoam and coated with stucco .....for years I never knew it was fake .....I just thought they didnt light it much LOL! the styrofoam was cut into brick size pieces and then glued to the wall the same way a brick wall would be laid out and covered in the stucco and then painted white .It was quite attractive really.
We replaced our old marble mantel & now I would like to repurpose it. The piece measures 8" x 1 1/4" x 6'. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You really don't have to make one...there are tons of ones already made for sale. It is just a matter of your personal taste.
