Lots of stores sell outdoor string lights, solar lights, etc that will work great for this. Hang them in trees, along fences and pathways, etc. Use candles or lanterns on table tops and food tables.

At thrift stores be on the look out for any type of jar / glass with a handle. I have some of these hanging on small shepherds hooks. I place a small jar inside, with a candle in the jar. The inside jar, you put a little water, to keep the candle wax from sticking . You can also use the fake flickering candles. Just be careful with real candles if you have children.
