Old Wooden Pallet to Rustic Wine Rack

I've wanted to do something with an old wood pallet my husband had in our garage and after a little browsing around Hometalk, I decided to attempt a wine rack. I had all of the materials needed for this project so I was able to get started right away.
This pallet was tucked away in a corner so it needed a good wiping and sanding before I started working with it.
I started taking it apart so I could cut it down to the right size for a wine rack.
Some of the boards came off without any problems. There was a crack or two and some very stubborn nails but, overall, it didn't take too much time or effort to get it apart.
Once I had to boards off and pallet cut down to size I had to start adding a few pieces. I used one of the boards that I removed for a bottom piece that the wine will sit on. I ended up using an extra piece of wood from another project for the wine glass holder. I started by measuring how much space I needed between each wine glass and cut four holes as the end notch for the wine glasses to slide into.
I like the raw wood look but since I used a different piece of wood for the wine glasses, I may paint it or whitewash it to make the difference in wood less noticeable.
