There are a couple of options for you. You can try neem oil or there is a manufacturer called "Safers" and they make an insecticidal soap that is environmentally, pet and children safe as is the neem oil.
I've tried Neem oil and it was somewhat effective, out of frustration I used the outdoor gardening insecticide Sevin and it was fabulous and did not harm my plants. Last year I brought in a few of my outdoors plants and noticed that my home starting having little bugs flying about, which seemed to multiply. After trying Neem oil and getting little to no relief. I purchased Sevin, sprinkled a bit on the dry soil and they were gone. It did not harm my plants which was extremely important.

If there are mealy bugs (tiny white specks), I use rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and really soak the leaves (look underneath the leaves for them too). I also spray the soil. However, do not spray the leaves of African violets. Use a swab dipped in alcohol to touch the bugs on your violets' leaves and stems. This is cheap and easily available and has worked for me.

Water in a spray bottle with a tsp or so of Dawn dish detergent on all the leaves front and back should do it for you.
