Provided they are hardy mums and not florist mums

I tried and I didn't have luck but that was in sandy soil.

Hi Linda. As long as you have hardy mums they will come back. Some mums you buy for center pieces are sold as hardy but truly aren't.

Absolutely! Just remember where you planted them as they will be slow coming up in the spring and you won't want to dig them up...the grow throughout the summer as a green bush and will flower in the fall

Yes- plant them deep enough to protect from surface frost and be sure to cut them back 3-4 times before the 4th of July and they will bloom again!

Yes, unless your yardman hires someone to weed who doesn't know jack. My mums were pulled up two months before they would have bloomed for the fourth year. I am furious--he also pulled up the yarrow that was the main plant in my front yard perennial garden. He pulled up everything except the invading grass, which was the only thing that needed pulled up. I can't do it or even supervise because I am an invalid. So I'm going to have to get the yardman to plant new plants next year. Suggestion: About a week after Memorial Day the caretakers at cemeteries remove the potted mums that have placed on graves. They are discarded. If you can find out when this is done in a cemetery near you, you might be able to get many mum plants, and this is a good time to plant them in your yard. Here, they often don't come up again until August for a late October or early November blooming.

Yes. I would cut it way back at the end of the season for next year's blooms.
